2006 saw the inaugural Fire Department Instructors Conference and Exhibition in Bahrain. FDIC Bahrain was a new concept in the training and development of fire fighters and expectations were somewhat mixed.

Never before had the region witnessed an experience that offered the Fire Industry hands-on-training, workshops, a conference and exhibition - all at one event, over one week.

FDIC Bahrain returns to the Middle East, with many of the worlds leading experienced fire trainers, to offer a Gold Standard in fire service education and training in the Middle East.
Saving lives is what fire fighting is all about, whether it is the lives of civilians in danger, or keeping members of the fire-fighting team alive as they strive to get a dangerous situation under control.

FDIC Bahrain helps fire-fighters in the Middle East save lives in three key areas: experience, knowledge and equipment.

The conference provides classroom based learning that gives fire-fighters the most up-to-date knowledge on how to fight fires.

The Hands-On-Training (H.O.T.) sessions give fire-fighters real, live training under the guidance of the most experienced fir-fighters in the world.

The exhibition showcases the products that enable fire-fighters to do the job they do and which keep them alive while they do it.

The partnership of the General Directorate of Civil Defence ensures that the event has the best possible logistic support within Bahrain and that all levels of personnel involved in the fire industry are at the event.
